Trekking program 14 days

Day1:

Arrival day.

  • Arrival at Sana’a International Airport; transfer to the hotel.

Welcome meal & o/n in the hotel.

Day2

Sightseeing tour in Sana’a, capital of Yemen.

  • Visit the National & Handcraft museum, Haddah  and the Jewish quarter.
  • Lunch in a typical restaurant, in the afternoon visit Old Sana’a city & Suq AL-Milh,

Bab AL-Yemen and the old town with its intricately decorated mosques and unique multi-decorated houses.

Dinner in a restaurant, o/n as above

Day3

Sana’a –Thula –Kawkaban.

  • Departure from Sana’a to Wadi Daar; visit Dar Al-Hajjar, the summer palace of Imam Yahya, perched on the top of a rocky pinnacle at Wadi Dhar; visit the village of Thula; walk up to Thula’s fort, leaving for Shibam, trekking up to Kawkaban,
  • Lunch in Kawkaban’s local hotel.
  • Dinner & o/n in Kawkaban’s local hotel.

 

Day4

: Kawkaban –Hababa –Zakaty – Bokur –AL-Tawila.

·         Departure from Kawkaban to Hababa; visit the village then transfer to Zakaty, trekking from 

Zakaty to Bokur (nice panorama of mountains and landscape).

  • Lunch at AL-Bedhy guesthouse.
  • Dinner in AL-Tawila, accommodation in a camping in AL-Tawila.

 

Day5

AL-Tawila –AL-Rjum- AL-Mahweet.

  • Departure from AL-Tawila  to AL- Rjum, trekking from AL-Rjum to Bait AL-Quthefe

through AL-Mahweet village,

  • Lunch in AL-Mahweet restaurant.
  • Dinner &  o/n in AL-Mahweet Felix hotel.

 

Day6

AL-Mahweet –Wadi Sara –Manakha –AL-Hajjara.   

·         Departure from AL-Mahweet; visit the Mountain Park, then drive through Wadi Sara to Haraz region along

a’a Bani Mudar where the best coffee plants are grown. Its capital Manakha, is a large market town full of narrow alleys, Suqs and attractive four-storey houses.        

·         Reached Manakha start to a trekking to AL-Hajjara, an old fortified village where houses are built directly

onto rock.       

·         Lunch in AL-Hajjara local hotel, in the afternoon visit AL-Hajjara.       

Dinner & o/n in AL- Hajjara local hotel.

Day7

AL-Hajjara – Haraz Villages.

  • Departure from AL-Hajjara; trekking to AL-Qashameen, Qarn AL-Dhoor, Bait AL-Ameer,

return by car to AL-Hajjara, 

  • Lunch in AL-Hajjara local hotel.
  • Dinner & o/n as above.

 

Day8

AL-Hajjara –Wadi Tihama- Bura.

  • Departure from AL-Hajjara to Wadi Tihama and Bura Mountain, trekking in the Jungle Of Bura.

Accommodation in a camping in the mountain. (Meals are picnics

Day9

Bura Mountain – Zabid.

  • Departure from Bura; trekking in the jungle of Bura and the nice view of the villages,
  • Spend the day in Bura,  (Meals are picnics) o/n as above.

 

Day10

Bura –Bait AL-Faqih –Zabid.

  • Departure from Bura to Wadi Tihama; visit Bait AL-Faqih, Early morning you will visit the traditional fish market at the southern part of the city then drive to visit the Friday traditional market of Beit Al-Faqih, which is considered one of the biggest and most important traditional markets in the country. Drive to visit Zabid, an important early Islamic center of learning, where algebra is said to have been invented. In Zabid, see the finely decorated old houses and the 10th century mosque.
  • Lunch in a restaurant; free afternoon to walk around Zabid,

Dinner & o/n in Zabid’s Guesthouse

Day11

Zabid – Red Sea .

  • Departure from Zabid to the Red Sea ; spend the day in AL-Kawkha, swimming in the Red Sea.
  • Lunch in Tourist Village hotel, in the afternoon move to Taizz, the medieval capital of Yemen under the Rasulid Dynasty. A short drive to Jabel Saber then visit the fine Ashraffiya Mosque with its twin minarets, the Muddhaffariya Mosque, and the old Palace of Imam Ahmed, (if opened) now a museum preserving his curious lifestyle. Walk through the old Suq, with its exotic wares.
  • Dinner in a restaurant, overnight in the traditional beds of the region – made of fine rope, woven over a wooden frame.

 

Day12

Taizz –Yufros-Saber.

  • Departure from Taizz to Yufros, a village famed for it’s 500-year-old mosque and Wadi Al-Dhabab, where we stop to visit one of the holiest shrines in Yemen, a fine 16th century mosque dedicated to local saint Ahmed bin Alwan. Move to Saber Mountain (nice view above Taizz).
  • Lunch in a restaurant, in the afternoon visit Taizz market.
  • Dinner in Taizz market, o/n as above.

 

Day13

Taizz –Jibla –Ibb –Sana’a.

  • Departure from Taizz to AL-Janad Mosque; AL-Sater mountain trekking to Jiblah. This picturesque village was the capital of Queen Arwa Bint Ahmed in the 11th century. Here you can see the great mosque with its column prayer hall, and the finely decorated tomb of the Queen
  • Transfer and lunch in a restaurant in Ibb, in the afternoon return to Sana’a.
  • Dinner & o/n in an hotel.

Day14

Sana’a – Free day in Sana’a.

  • Yemeni party – Turkish Hot spring (Turkish Hamam)
  • Lunch in a restaurant,
  •  Dinner & good-bye party o/n as above

Day15

Transfer to Sana’a International airport fly back home.
